Hymenoplasty

What Is Hymenoplasty (Hymen Repair)?

Hymenoplasty, also known as hymen repair surgery, is a minor medical procedure that reconstructs the hymenal membrane at the vaginal entrance. It is often chosen for personal, cultural, or psychological reasons, and the decision to undergo the procedure is entirely individual.

There are two main types of hymenoplasty:

• Temporary repair: Performed a few days before intercourse, providing short-term results.

• Permanent repair: A longer-lasting technique using microsurgical sutures to restore the tissue naturally.

The procedure takes about 20–30 minutes under local anesthesia. The stitches are dissolvable, leaving no visible marks. Patients can return to their normal routine on the same day.

When performed by experienced specialists, hymenoplasty is a safe, discreet, and natural-looking procedure that respects the patient's privacy and choice.
